Senior Architect
VCA is seeking a project manager for Corporate Interior, Retail, Commercial Base Building, Hospitality and Mixed Use projects.
Requirements
Creative, self-motivated, and ambitious
Professional representative and client liaison
Ability to manage project budget hours and architectural team members
Project Management Skills:
Manage staff of 2 to 3 persons per project
Capable of managing 2 to 3 projects simultaneously
Includes originating and maintenance of meeting minutes
Production of construction documents
Coordination of Structural and MEP Engineers
Shop drawing review and coordination
Preparation of Building Department filings
Provide project schedule and maintenance of schedule; meet project schedule deadlines
Providing project construction costs analysis utilizing in house software
Thorough knowledge of International Building Code, NYC Building Code and Handicap ADA Code
Experience utilizing Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Drafting skills utilizing AutoCAD 2000, 2010, 2012 & 2015
Ability to provide a thorough set of construction documents without supervision
Required to have knowledge of construction means and methods and detailing
Ability to work occasional overtime

Bachelors of Architecture Degree required

1-3 years of architectural firm experience
Required: Letter of recommendation from a former employer and or references
Optional: Architectural Portfolio
Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Ability to provide a thorough set of construction documents, with minor supervision
Knowledge of construction means, methods, and detailing
Ability to work occasional overtime
