Senior Architect

VCA is seeking a project manager for Corporate Interior, Retail, Commercial Base Building, Hospitality and Mixed Use projects.

Requirements

  • Creative, self-motivated, and ambitious

  • Professional representative and client liaison

  • Ability to manage project budget hours and architectural team members

  • Project Management Skills:

    • Manage staff of 2 to 3 persons per project

    • Capable of managing 2 to 3 projects simultaneously

    • Includes originating and maintenance of meeting minutes

    • Production of construction documents

    • Coordination of Structural and MEP Engineers

    • Shop drawing review and coordination

    • Preparation of Building Department filings

    • Provide project schedule and maintenance of schedule; meet project schedule deadlines

    • Providing project construction costs analysis utilizing in house software

  • Thorough knowledge of International Building Code, NYC Building Code and Handicap ADA Code  

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Outlook and Excel

  • Drafting skills utilizing AutoCAD 2000, 2010, 2012 & 2015

  • Ability to provide a thorough set of construction documents without supervision

  • Required to have knowledge of construction means and methods and detailing

  • Ability to work occasional overtime

  • Looking for growth through a long-term employment

  • Portfolio illustrating the above required

  • Bachelors of Architecture Degree required

  • 1-3 years of utilizing AutoCAD 2000, 2010, 2012 & 2015

  • 1-3 years of architectural firm experience

    • Required: Letter of recommendation from a former employer and or references

    • Optional: Architectural Portfolio

  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel

  • Ability to provide a thorough set of construction documents, with minor supervision

  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and detailing

  • Ability to work occasional overtime

  • Looking for growth through a long-term employment relationship

  • Bachelors of Architecture Degree
